differential? Stopped by Pep Boys last night to pick up Red Line injector juice and bought 2 bottles Castrol Hypoy C 80W-90 gear oil.
Wanted an opinion on what is recommended or others use.
Thank you

synthetic 75w-90 or use the 140wt for LSD units.

castrol hypoy c is unsuitable for this application, as, as regal said, it calls for a synthetic oil. the 80w numbers up front usually only come with conventional gear oils, not synthetics. depending on what the diff tag says, you need a 75w90 or 75w140. mine is quite happy on royal purple 75w140 with a tube of LSD additive thrown in so i wouldn't have to do it twice. it should cost you between 8-14$ per bottle for suitable stuff, and you need two bottles.

Believe it states so in the manual. My indy has changed it for me twice. I think he used redline.

synthetic is a given, the rear gears are so small that they would literally wear out in under 100k with reg lube.
