I am trying to address a broken door stop and possibly bent window guide. I followed the directions in the Bentley Book but there's a fitting in the center of the door, behind the arm rest, that the book does not mention, except as part of the re-install instructions. I can see it clearly looking up from the bottom, but I can't get it to separate, can't even see what to pry on. Does this just pop off, or am I missing something?

Thanks. These are the same directions as in the book, except the book doesn't mention taking the tweeter off, which i did.
OK, I have done everything up through step 6. All the perimeter fasteners are off. I'm still stymied by the fitting in the middle that won't let me pull the panel away lift or pull it up. This is a '95 if it makes any difference.

Yep, had the same problem. You just have to be quite brutal with it, there's a good chance of breaking the plastic part of that clip but it's cheap to replace. I was worried about ripping the door from its hinges with mine I had to apply so much force before it came off!

lift straight up, if its the first time the panel is coming off it will be a bit tight.
