Still on the radio,
How do I skip tracks on a CD?
Pressing < or > just scans the current track?
Thanks,
Philip
P.S. - Javier, I saw your response on the anti-theft thing, thanks man! I'll check for the red light tonight. If it doesn't light, no anti-theft?

I almost posted a pic of a radio from an e34 along with instructions...then it hit me...you didn't identify which model or year 5 series you have. (not unless I'm to assume the "2000" in your name is to mean that's the year of your 5 series) :D
If you have the e34 5 series the < & > buttons are 2-stagged...if you press lightly they will scan...if you press harder they will skip.
If you have an e39...can't you use the redundant steering wheel buttons? The open arrow buttons on the left side will change CD tracks (fwd/bkwd) or radio stations:

Also see if the E39 < & > buttons are 2-stage buttons like on the e34.
Previous posts indicate a 92 525i Japanese model car. I don't know on your radio, but on mine I just hit the slider up or down to change tracks, the presets change the discs. I think you have the Alpine unit and my changer is the Pioneer, so might work a bit differently on yours.

Sorry I forgot to indicate what car I have. It is a 92 525i with the stock Alpine head unit and cd changer.
Anyway, thanks for the responses. I will try pressing harder on the arrow buttons.
JonE, I'm impressed that you accurately identified my car from my previous post.
Thanks again guys!
