I'm posting it in here because this is where everyone hangs out...
but, the dude I got them from said he took them off his mom's E32.

16x8's, offset is around 15.
does this wheel style look familiar to anyone? Or may it just be an aftermarket chrome wheel with a BMW center cap?
Either way I got a super sweet cheap deal on these so I'm cool with whatever it is.

They were very popular in the late 80's, used to seem them alot on MB's as well. I wanted to put them on my father's 633csi. nice find.

Strange though that when you analyse the image in detail the centre cap is focussed differently to the rest of the wheel; either that or the cap is under a thick plastic cover that has moisture ingress under it ... but then again the aliasing that is apparent suggests otherwise.
.. and do I see a stick-on centre motif under the tyre on the floor ?
That said, they look to be a nice wheel ! ... so if thats what you like ... why not ?

I've seen a bunch of other pics of these... what you see behind the tire is another center cap.. it just looks funky due to the reflection.
As far as the emblems are concerned... I'm guessing someone may have used a wheel cleaner on them that warped the plastic... or perhaps they left the protective film on all these years, but you'd think they'd have noticed that.
Either way... a little chrome polish and perhaps some replacement caps or adhesive emblems and I'm all set. They come with a set of ZR dunlop 225/50s (a little short, but hey better acceleration right)... I got the whole set shipped to me for $225!

That is aftermarket... Hammer style... I forget who the manufacturer was... I got one for Mercedes... one... not one set.

225 barely covers shipping! you got a steal on these.

Well they're going from south Cali to south Oregon.... so it's not to bad. I checked the rates and they're anywhere from $75 to $100 to ship all 4 in separate packs.
But I feel like I got a solid deal for sure.

I'm sure they are NOT BMW, more than likely they are an Eagle "Hammer" wheel. Be concerned with hub-centricity and weight, but for that price, it would tough to go wrong. PS.......you can run a 225/55-16 on all four corners or even a 245/50-16 on the rear if ya want to go staggered. Hope this helps.

Think they may need rings?
As far as weight goes... I'm not too concerned with an M60 pushing me around, but just judging by the shipping info... each wheel & tire already mounted and boxed up weigh in at 48lbs. total... not great, but not devastating.
The tires should be good for awhile... but when they wear out I was thinking 235/50s all around... but the 245/50 sounds interesting. What should I put up front if I did 245/50's on the hind end?

Not likely that you need the hubcentric rings... these are sold way before E39 came out.

Do you have the center cap/lug cover for it?
I need one.

Yeah, I gotta find one more cap.... I looked everything over as soon as the wheels arrived. Everything looks good, needs cleaning.... but one of the lug covers has a crack in it.
