How do I post pics in a thread?

I always seem to have problems when I post a pic. They always come up as a link rather than a pic in the thread. What might I be doing wrong. Any help would be appreicated.

you need to go {img}url here{/img} but replace the { brackets with [
'http://www.bimmer.info/forum/images/editor/insertimage.gif'
ie put the url above into the brackets
http://www.bimmer.info/forum/images/editor/insertimage.gif
i had to put the' round the url cos the editor kept putting in
{url} {/url} which is the board code for a hyperlink replace { with [ as above
