Has anybody else had bad luck with the rubber boots failing on their control and or thrust arms? I bought mine (Lemforder) 2 years ago, installed them and now after 30K miles I notice that the two on the drivers side are failed. Seems odd that they would fail so fast. And yes, one ball joint is bad (has some vertical movement which can be heard while driving). Kind of annoying since I expect these to last the life of the car. Rubber seems kind of dry as well - not pliable.

the boots are not really a problem,
you can always buy a new boot and re-pack it with
bearing grease, but the end play in the ball joint
like you said is not good
