Other than what`s written on the bentley regarding the testing of AMS;for voltage and ground, does anybody have any info on how to test it for Ohms, and the values it should give?

TIA

The Bentley information on the flow part of the device is ridiculous and useless. This http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthread.php?t=10762 post describes what I found doing the test according to Bentley. This http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthread.php?t=10783 post describes a much better way of testing.

As a side note, I'm really interested in seeing whether I can adapt a sold state MAF to replace the extremely restrictive vane type we have now. Some of the newer MAF sensors are little more than a plug-like device that sticks into the induction plumbing somewhere. It ought to be easy to take one of these things and adapt the AFS housing to take it, along with whatever conditioning elex it would take to make it match the vane type. I bet getting rid of that stupid vane and smoothing the airflow through the sensor is worth 10-15hp at WOT.

I think Brunos site mentions this several places and he also sells the kits to do it.
