Dashboard Control Panel Needed for 1985 735i

My somewhat decripit but much-loved 1985 735i (automatic) had its stereo ripped out and the control panel on its dashboard completely smashed.
Would any of you happen to know where I could get a replacement? And how difficult it is to install? And which manuals could be consulted to do so? I would like to have my friendly neighborhood freelance mechanic install it, but I don't want to give him a Herculean task.
