I don't have carfax aces right now, but I can say one thing about Subaru. They as reliable as our e34, I have nothing but good things to say about them. Had a 95 Subaru Impreza, sold it with 160k miles and it run like a champ.

My only concern is that it appears to have a front bumper that isn't QUITE aligned and there is a dent in the trunklid. I'm going to stop today and check it out in depth, but odds are we're going to pass on it

I have a friend who was/is a master mechanic for 30 odd years (now retired). When I was looking for a new car (before my 5) he steered me away from newer subies because they've had some pretty big quality issues. Things like new wheel bearings at 40k.

Also, I take it the WRX is used. I can bet what kind of driver owned it before now and what he/she did to it. Make sure you check the tranny, they have been known to be fragile in the WRX (especially once you start doing strange things to it).

Tranny is a weak point and apparently there is a design flaw or something in the clutch, they don't last long at all... they were recalling them for a while.

Well, thats kinda why i was lookin' for the carfax. Find out what sort of shape its in, then have a dealership run a VIN recall / TSB check and see what has been done. Just kinda poking around a bit, getting out feet wet. She REALLY wants a Subbie, I'd like her to get an E34, but then i'd be driving it all the time lol.
