I'll go first, finally after two days of compiling various things and satisfying dependencies, i have my desktop how i want it!

I use OS X on an Imac G3. Has similar looking icons to your unix system Jon K, probably due to the OSX/Darwin/Unix family tree. I hope everyone will use Unix one day, and forget how much trouble Windoze was!

i thought i had lots of desktop icons...
OT i went to upload my desktop but my bimmer info page doesnt seem to download properly,any you guys get onto it,it loads alright for me probably from memory tho
any one wanna check for me here (http://www.bimmer.info/bmw/kiwi535/index.html)

"top" is similar to windows resource viewer. shows what services/applet/applications are running and their resources... not sure why his memory only shows up as 6,000K, thats 6MB, wtf. Zero swap used? Wtf. It's his dhcp, mail, and ssh server though, that's for sure.
edit: confirmed on a home network also ;)

I'm sorry you spent money on Splinter Cell Pandora tomorrow, if you did. It was fun, but way too short. I finished it in like 3 days!

then i must be about there, haven't really had time to play for the last couple months, the 1st expansion pack for mohaa was way too short but the 2nd was better, and mohpa so far is real cool. i picked up splinter cell pt used so it was cheep

the graphics card in the garbage can computer doesn't like to take screenshots, so i'll describe it. w2k, screen full of icons :D
