Mechanic drove the nut so tight you couldnt spin the pinion, both bearings and races gone.

if anyone had ANY respect for me it's gonna be all gone. Ill do a basic write up tomorrow and do a final one later.

what ya do, lube up the bearings with DR regal's double nut root oil?

Well since the mechanic is not you, how can we lose respect for ya? (Even if it was - crap happens) I took my car into get shocks replaced because I simply did not have the time to do the job. Of course, I just spent the evening replacing thrust arms due to the damaged rubber boot that occured (which I did not notice in time) which resulted in ball joint failure (nice clicking sound in the front end).

screw the mecanic that initially messed it up, I did a ground up restoration with old parts pounded from the original unit...very much not what anyone would post on a brochure. Pics are on but have to be named so I can post in order.

Looks halfway to insane...Bet that guy knows his BMW differentials -- did he tell ya how to do it the right way? :)
