AC Schnitzer Equipment

I was looking through a catalogue listing all the AC Schnitzer equipment that was available for the E34 around 96. Some damn nice stuff, like the carbon fibre engine cover for the M50. Looks sweet. i was drooling over the engine and exhaust mods available to produce the so called S5 silhouette and to see the forged deep dish mags. Damn i wish i could lay my hands on some of that equipment.

Only thing is...well apart from not being available to us locally, is the damn pricing. It costs about as much as my vehicle does, if not more...go figure...

Still looks sweet, would love to know if it was ever worth the money.

Are you just after the "look" or if they really give you more hp?

I hear those Schnitzer badges add 5hp for every badge you stick on the car! ;) Hehehehe

LOL, yes yes yes... i know. I work at a BMW dealer that has rights to fit schnitzer equipment. I do not always think it looks fantastic or that it warrants the amount of money involved, but as far as build quality and definitely as far as HP gains on some models are concerned, i think it's way cool. For the price thou....not sure... it always seems a bit heft to me...
