winfred i recall a post where you said you broke the aluminiu, trim to get into locked cars......once you did that how did you find replacing them.I cant seem to get my new trim on properly. It isnt seating right or something cos the trim interferes with the handle...I have tried about 5 times now and i getting MAD :(

you may need to adjust the handle down a tad, loosen the nuts and or lock ring (depending on front or rear) and retighten, usually it drops right in and the little slider latch locks it in fine

aside from Bill's excellent reference material, you don't need a fancy tool...simply a long medium sized blade screwdriver. The latch holding the handle cover to the outer door skin is held on with a toggle latch. Push the tab on the toggle latch one way to dislodge the old cover, insert the new one and push the latch back to draw the new cover snug to the outer door...have replaced all my door covers and not too bad a job...takes a bit of finesse to get the replacement cover in the right place before you draw the latch...that's all.
