How much oil?

dont have the manual handy with me and can't remember how much i put in last time.. how much oil does the '95 525i take? (in quarts)

good old M60 -> 8 Quarts.... makes it easy ;)

I use 6 things of Mobil 1 (6 x .946 or so) and a little bit from the 7th thing. The rest goes in the trunk.

just a little bit from quart #7.. and put it in the trunk. it'll be needed before the next oil change methinks

enter the last 7 digits of your car's VIN...you will see some interesting info like mfg date etc...but it also gives you fluid fill capacities.

I have a 1995 M50TU engine (like yours) and it takes 5.75 Liters
(note I'm giving you liters, not quarts...there's a difference :D )

CRAP!!! I've been over filling the oil!!!

I decoded my vin, and I only have to put in 7.5 liters... and 7.5 liters = 7.92516154 US quarts
