gas tank door

can someone help me> that friggin' plastic hinge broke, I ordered a new one, and now I have the hinge (easy enough to figure out) but how in the hck does that U shaped metal 'spring' fit into the equation?

Hey my fuel door hinge also broke but it's an eassy fix. I will take a picture of it done and try to give you any pointers. Hang tight until tommorrow when it is light out and I will send you info. Stick with it and I am sure that you can figure it out. GOOD LUCK

my hinge broke aswell, but when i went to order one at the dealer they said that i have to get the whole door?? it was about $40 plus the paint. seemed like a hasle so i was going to hold off and find one used...

where did you get yours?

...in place. Fit the spring in place before you attach the hinge to the car.
