Battery cover

does anyone know what the switch on top of the battery cover is for on the 535? it has a short lever on it which is pushed down when the seat is put back in.

Mircoswitch for anti theft device.
So if you have activated your anti theft device and someone breaks into your car and thinks he is clever and deactivates the alarm by removing the battery cables: at the moment he lifts the seat, the alarm starts.
