i m thinking about buying a 1994 m5 anything i should look out for mechanically or electrically it is a 3.8

It is not a mildly warmed over 535i.They cost significantly more to run than a "normal" e34.For instance when the 24 valves need to be adjusted the camshafts have to come out,new shims fitted,camshafts refitted,BMW dealers have a completely different schedule for servicing them.Click on the pic to go to a //m5 site.

Remember, in the showroom there was a twenty thousand USD premium for this car. and its wasn't in cosmetic stuff either! When it comes time to replace shocks, brake stuff, exhaust etc etc everything is special, AND specially priced!
But, if you can afford the maintenance, the cars are really something,
