What's with "hydraulic" thrust arm bushings? New news to me. 12/88 production date car bushings replaced with 750s at about 60k . Thought that was the hot set up.

Do you have a link for the hydraulic thrust arm bushings? 750i bushings are the normal upgrade around here, you can press in M5 bushings or even polyurethane ones.

after reading your post a second time - u mentioned p310-9 of the bently manual which describes the thrust arm install and remove. maybe somone else can shed some light what is meant by hydraulic bushes

Nothing terribly special.

The M5 bushings are all rubber and likely the stiffest of the lot short of urethane. Probably the most durable too.
