Help: How to install switched rear maplights

I've come across some switched rear maplights from an 89 E34.

My 92 doesn't have the switched lights and instead has the lights that come on only with the front interior switch.

The plug does not match up. I've only found one post about this in which the writer "thought" that there was another plug in behind the rear pillar cover.

Can anyone confirm this or does anyone have a link to a procedure to retrofit these lights into my car?

i thought mine just plugged in when i did it, i cant remember

how many wires does your plug have? ie the plug on the car

Can't recall specifically... believe it is 2 wires.
