A/C compressor

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Seltec a/c compressor will work on my '89 535i. The guy I spoke w/ at BMA said that it won't work on the '90 on up but it's half the price of the other one they have listed for the e34.

listen to what BMA is telling you...they are very vehicle specific....I ended up getting a BMW rebuilt......costly but it did fit....

theres a seltec mounting kit for the m30 but it's tensioner roller kinda sucks ass, heres the part # from my guy for the kit KT 1840A, A/C Conversion Kit, somewere between $100 and $200 for the mounting kit which doesn't allways have the right barbed fittings to fit around everything
