My 1995 525i really needs an audio media upgrade, I'm using cassettes fer god's sake......
Anyone got the plug-and-play trunk mounted hardware for sale? Alternately, can my stock am/fm cassette player be modified to accept IPOD-type input signal?
Thanks in advance

i've got the Alpine 9835 with ipod adapter. It's badass, except for one thing. Browsing artist and song titles is a lengthy process, as it doesn't allow you to speed through them, you go one by one. The quality is very near CD at 192kbps. I do not believe there are any adapters for the older stock radios, aside from tape adapter or fm modulation which both sound crappy. I believe the cheapest AI-Net Alpine unit is around $179 now, and the ipod interface (KCA-420i) is $89 i think. Also, I have used the pioneer ipod interface as well, but it's horrible compared to the alpine one.

I'm interested in the CDX-M30. Do you have the long cable. I'm told it will plug into my KE-83 headunit.
