The problem is I only have two jack stands. Where should I use the jack stands to jack up the car? On the front or the rear of the car. I need to do this to lower the exhaust system.

Although it's not the safest thing, when my flex disc was done we used jack stands to support the car and then further jacked the car up by putting boards underneath the jack... then use more boards as needed. We also only used jack stands at the front of the car.

Try and locate a set of ramps for the front. It doesn't need to be jacked up quite as much. The rear wheels will need to be elevated so you can remove the CV joint bolts, you will need to rotate the rear wheels to access all of them. If they're on the ground, you wont be able to spin the driveshaft around to get all of them out. 4 Jackstands isn't the greatest idea in the world to be honest, I like ramps much better myself.
