what are Dinan Koni shocks worth?

I have a 1990 535i, 5spd, 100K and found a deal on Dinan Koni shocks. Supposedly Dinan revalves these shocks, the price is $400, good deal?

But I can't say for sure if they are custom valved. When they arrived they were preset to about 1 1/2 turns from soft. Maybe that's all the "custom valving" involves...

FWIW, I run them at that setting in the summer and the ride/handling is sweet. I turn them back to 1/2 turn from soft for winter driving - compensates for the frozen fluid.
