I'm planning on putting them on my sedan before painting the bottom. Here's a pic of some on a red 535.

Is it for cosmetics or functional cooling?

I'm assuming the former unless you track the car.

In terms of function: consider doing what I saw on a supercharged M3/2 in the shop over the past few weeks -- obtain a length of good quality air duct hosing (like they use for clothes dryer exhausts, only not the cheap plastic stuff) and route it from behind the bumper/grill/wherever to the wheel wells. That's a good volume of directed air for very little money.

Where did you get the center section?

Is this an M-Tech bumper cover? Where did you find it?

I like this nice finished look. How hard was this to do? I have checked out the e34 net site about this, thats why I have been thinking about it.

I have tracked my E30, and may do the same with the e34. But have not as of yet.

It's a later E34 bumper. Some E32s share the same brake ducting and are probably plug-n-play.

Looks like you used three parts. I have not seen (or just noticed) what looks like a center panel between the ducts. Are there parts availabe to actually duct the air to the brakes?


Would this filt a 95 e34 525i which may have different lower panel. This looks real good. I owuld be interested using just the parts in black and not painting. Blacks look fien with oxford green and black plastic will not scow damage as quickly as paainted parts will

I just ordered the parts listed on E34 netfrom BMA. But have no Idea about the center section.

the center section was cut from a crashed bumper and screwed on after about 20 minutes of fitting with a grinder/tin snips, theres no mods to the stock bumper other then a few holes drilled in the bottom of the lip, the center piece came from the same part of the bumper that it's atached to. another fun mod that almost no people notice is the turbo diesel tow hook covers, they are ducts instead of flat panels (they were on it when i got it so i am not sure how to get them) i think i saw the part#s on brunos website a while back
