Hey guys. Would adding sports seats from say... a e34 540i6 be plug and play? How much would they theoretically be worth too? :D

For your car, it may be plug and play. The seat rails will work, no problem. Electrics are the big question. It depends on how the harness is set up. If the 540/6 has memory (steering column, seats, mirrors, radio), which is practically a given, and your car currently doesn't, you'll probably also need the wiring harness (and all of the other memory components to make it work - steering column, mirrors or the mirror motors and potentiometers). If the donor car has memory: first thing to check is to see if you can plug the memory control module into your car's harness. The control module has two harness connectors; a third runs from the memory harness to the seat frame. EDIT: and most, if not all, non-memory cars have a single harness that looks something like this (clear plastic on later MYs, obviously without the ridiculous green jumper wire that my PO stuck in there)

Edit #2: the pass seat should be plug and play regardless (same connector any way you get it, I think), but the electrics won't work without the memory module.
The sport seats are worth a good dollar. They're not easy to come by.
best, whit
