Found out that I have a bad leak at the condenser. I was told that it may be able to be repaired, but may have to be replaced. I think that I am going to take this opportunity to convert system to R134 and replace the condenser. Has anyone replaced the condenser? Bentley says that I have to pull the front bumper...is this the case? Any help would be appreciated.

4 17mm nuts hold on the front bumper and they hide under the black plastic strips on ether side of the plate, the aux fan is bolted to the condensor, watch out for crappy aftermarket condensors, i've sent back some that looked and fit like the person who built it was going on a picture of a bmw condensor

Ditto - be careful of the non OEM types. I had a cheap condensor but it was about 1/2 inch too thick to fit in the spot. What a waste of time and money. Ended up having Yves at BMA overnight one...

PS - pulling the front bumper is about a 5-10 min job the second time you do it.... Use good lubricant to get the bumper trim off if you haven't had it off before.

And I went and ordered a new temp sensor cause I thought the old one was dead... in reality the computer is very filtered/slow at reading temp. So don't panic if you see your OBC temp way down after disconnecting - just give it time - 2 hours!
