You can bypass that. At least for the summer.

What's goin' on Jeff??? First you're looking for an "extra" strut, supposedly for some sort of refund purpose. Now you need a heater water pump? Are you just gonna go down the ETK list and bum every E34 part there is and build one yourself??? :p
Not a bad idea actually. With all the packrats here, me included, I bet we really could put a whole car together! That would be a fun post, huh? See how much of a car we could get from all the crap in our garages.... :D
Lessee........I don't have an E34 anymore, buuuuuut I have:
(3) 6-disk CD holders
(1) Ski bag
(1) OE chip, the "shark" went with the car.
(1) Washer pump
(1) Left elipsoid headlight
assorted yadda-yadda stuff........

It looks like we're going to hold onto Ginger for at least a little while longer, and I could use a second cartridge for trips.
Hope you're doing well, ducking and dodging the swirlies...

Ya see, one of the reasons I still have all that crap is that I'm, well, kinda lazy when it comes to cleaning out the closet. Hey Bill, how about 3!? Just think of all the CDs that will be just a click and a flip away?? Barney, The Wiggles, those really weird Tella-Tubby things......(can you tell I don't have kids?) And you can put audio books in them for long roadtrips too. I always had one filled with random music, one with bluesy stuff, and one with books.
They are:
82 11 1 467 003 Genuine BMW 6 CD Magazine for the Alpine CD Changer
$29.95/ea. at BavAuto.
How 'bout I'll mail ALL 3 of them to you for $25?? That way I'll reclaim 108 cubic inches in my closet! :D

Jeff -- Sorry mate, I sent mine to Nick in Australia ;)
We've got a few floating around the shop if you want a good used one. In fact, there's one in the 740 parts car I stole my "new" radiator from. I don't know what kind of $$$ Brett would want for it, but it never hurts to call and ask. We could get it to you in like a day. 440.564.7574.
Best, whit

It's like the model glue we all grew up on--but of the "I'll hold this bowling ball over your head" type. Tiny, tiny bottles--I think it's a single bottle not a two part epoxy & I can't find my stash of it--damned woman must have "cleaned up" again. Best stuff I've ever found for plastic repair.
EDIT
This stuff only works well if you can get at the faces of the cracks. You might not have good results squirting it into one--buy a bottle anyway--sometimes I think it holds better than the actual plastic.
As to the free car--anyone is welcome to my warped roters, plastic water pump, blah, blah, blah...
