Well it's a case of being in the right place at the right time. About a month back I bought a set of genuine T-Stars for $1,500.00 AUD ($1,100.00 US) including 80% Toyo 235/40/17"s. I was thinking what to do with my 15" basketweaves.
Then yesterday I was having a look at some Bimmer accessories at an indepedent BMW service center when the owner came out and saw the T-Stars on my 535i and asked me where I got them. After telling him he asked if I still had the original wheels because he had a customer who had metric wheels on his E28 535 and was looking for some 15" basketweaves.
Well the upshot was he has bought my old baskets for $500.00 AUD! So the T-Stars really owe me $1000.00 AUD ($750.00 US) inc. tyres.
Now I feel even less guilty about buying them! :)
Hmmm...it's been a month since I bought the T-Stars... time to think about feeling guilty again.
Now let me see.... Konis? Vogtlands? Tinted glass? CD stacker?... STOP IT!! before I go blind!!! :D
Oh and he was happy with just the four wheels so I get to keep one for the spare.
