I've been looking at short shifters since I got by 5er a few months ago. I've seen discussions about them all over this board and bf.com. I've been considering buying a "budget short shift" from understeer.com, basically a M3 lever if i'm not mistaken. The install doesn't look too bad, and it's only $75.
Recently, I saw this on eBay

...and I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with this type of "short shifter." It seems like it does just what an aftermarket shift lever does, which is lengthen the distance below the pivot point of the shifter. I think I know the answer I'll get from you guys, but do you think this product does shorten shift distance, and would it be worth it to buy? Comments please.
