auto trans fluid change question for a e36 328i

my mums car, it's done about 80,000kms and has never had the auto trans fluid changed before. I told her to do it straight away. She serviced is about 2 weeks ago, but it wasn't done then. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't know anything about e36's, its got a 5 speed auto, I assume it has lifetime fluid which lasts as long as the tranny does. how often should the trans fluid be changed?

same as all autos, either they are changed all the time or you have to change out only what drains out when replacing the filter. If you flush it you can trash the trans.
