Here is a link to the pictures of my attempt at blacking out my chrome trim. I painted the winshield wipers, the chrome license plate in front and the window trim. I plan on re-doing it in a couple of weeks and taking all the trim off. I think it will turn out better that way.

I used the following:
SEM black self-etching primer; aerosol (SEM #39673)
SEM trim black; aerosol (SEM #39143)

I found that some areas of the trim came off because I didnt' sand them enough. Also, I can still see some spots of chrom behind the lip of the trim (can't see it in the pics only up close). As for the paint, I took it to a detailer who wet sanded and used a clay bar on the car. Then they used a three step wax from Mcguires (yello I believe) and a polisher. It really brought it to life. Before I took those pictures I used Mcguires quick detail spray. Trust me, it looks great until you get too close, then you see all the imperfections.

M-parallels changes the way the car drive even more so that its looks. Believe me, I used to have BBS-RK 18 in my '89 sedan. Then I switched to M-Parallel replica 17 inchers. The M-pars are great with sticky tires like S02. I had Eiback Prokits and bilstein sports shocks.

When I put these into my newer green Touring, that touring really drives well and corners the way I wanted without tires screeching like there is no tomorrow.
My sedan had the Touring basket-weaves like yours and even with a complete set of new tires, feels like a boat now. I am not tracking my sedan anymore but using the Touring more. Take a look at the difference here:

It looks great! Where did you get them and how much were they? Do you know how much they weigh?
