540i engine mounts.

doing engine mounts next weekend on the 540i. ive read bills story and got the pics. anybody else done this before? if so any thing sinister to look out for? will post pics when done. thanx

I don't know what Bill has said or written about it, but...One thing you might want to do to make life easier is to remove the power steering pump completely. The system probably takes CHF 7.1 or 11 s, so if it hasn't been changed in a while, it's a great time to flush it. I'm not *completely* sure it applies to RHD cars, and for some reason, I think you have a RHD AUS car (?)

The job is much easier without the alternator in the way, but accomplishing that involves removing lots of stuff.

It takes a bit of patience. I'm sure you'll get it, though. Good luck!
