All my speakers work, except for the driver's side door tweeter. I know it's the wiring. Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm just fishing for a known problem area before I start testing different areas of the wiring.

I wish mine were that simple. It would have been fixed by now.

My tweeter on driver side is also the only speaker that doesn't work. I haven't had time to fix it yet. Is it because it's on the driver door? - obviously driver door is used the most.
Anyone knows how to remove the tweeter cover? Just pry off?

Odd - the tweeter on my drivers side has been playing up recently too.. :s (mine's right-hand drive though if it makes any difference!)
replaced the cruddy aftermarket ones with original-fit Pioneer jobs from my spares car, and they work a treat! Not bad for 19 year old speakers!
(Oh, and my tweeters are in the dash, there's no-where in the doors for them - although I did see what could be tweeter wiring in the door wiring looms when I took them apart :shrugs: Where are you guy's tweeters in the door then?)

There's a little plastic screw cover, carefully pry it off and then backout the screw. The mesh cover will then come off. That's the way it works on my '89.

ooo, cool..
Neither of mine have any provision for speakers of any sort in the doors! It was seeing what I thought could be tweeter wires taped up (never used) in the doors of my spares car that made me wonder!
The only sort of grilles in the doors are the fresh air vents! Tweeters go under the speaker grilles on the ends of the dash, woofers go in the footwells! (8" will fit - sounds good too!)
Guess it's just another small difference between US & Euro cars :shrugs: :D
[kinda back on topic]
If it makes any difference, I've never been good with tweeters in any car - one always goes pop! :D

Thanks! Just fixed it in 3 mins. The wires and connectors are loosen somehow. I disconnect the wire clips, clean contacts. It works fine now. I never turn the "treble" beyond +1 though (only on bad records). I always like to listen to everything flat ;)
