I tried posting this before, but then I could never find it again so I apologize if someone has seen it.
My question is dash lights on my instrument panel.
I changed them in my 94 525i easily by sliding the panel out from the side of the steering wheel. This was no problem, a bit of a pain in the ass, but it worked.
I have another car, 93, 525i, and need to change the lights. I searched the archives to find out what kind of bulbs I need and now I see several emails telling me absolutely do not do that if I have an airbag and to remove the steering wheel.
I don't feel confortable removing the steering wheel! Is it absolutely necessary? I mean, I didn't do that before? Is it hard to remove the steering wheel and replacing the airbags?
