Personally I just made the switch to Mobil 1 15w50 Synthetic. I really like the way my car's running using synthetic. NEXT!

yes you can switch back but once you hear how much quieter your engine is you wont want to...an added benefit is the 8000 mile oil change vs 3000 for dino oil.

You can allways go to Mobil Oil website and see what they recommend. I'd get that info and post it back here to get some feedback.

The good thing about synthetic is less oil changes because it lasts longer. Especially the new extended life formula. I will be changing filters at 5000 mile intervals though. Greg M. 1992 525i & 1984 528e (recent gift)

stopped by advance auto parts for fun tonight. they had a sale on mobil 1 stuff. 0w40 was about 4.60/qt and they had a rebate for 3.88/qt with a limit of 6 - just enough for an oil change. great price!
