Since the one most of us frequented was shutdown by BMW heres a new one.

FYI - While checkin the E24 board on the flee, saw this in the E34 one, see the flee isnt completely useless.

Only drawback, its in german, but click on the wheel and it will tell you models that had it or that it'll fit, not sure which one.

Hmmm Wonder how BMW made them shut it down--sue their arse I am sure. I have done the thing of using the pics of this one and the language off the old one but wouldn't it be wonderful to reunite the pictures with descriptions in our mother tongue. Plus the pics on the shut-down site were better.

I am wondering what it would take to make the old site happen again. Perhaps if it were hosted in a country that had copyright laws more like the Chinese than the US.

There is a "country" off the coast of the UK that is an old oil platform. They have a one industry economy--hosting servers. Note to self--must research laws pertaining to copy right in Sealand.

Any other ideas how we could get the broken site to rise from the ashes like the phoenix? It is just to much of a treasure to let go. Do we have any loophole specialists in our midst?

The archiver who is doing exterior body should get the above link into the archieves. It is still helpful.

I also kind of dig the tirerack thing where you can see wheels on you car.

Ask and ye shall receive. I was wanting a way to get the old "all the wheels" page back.

I notice on the broken page, the guy is asking for high quality personal pictures of the wheels that he will host on his personal website. The deal must be that he just can't post pictures taken and copyrighted by BMW but he can post our personal pics of them. We probably have pics of a lot of the wheels needed to build the page. I'll polish up my OEM 37s and send a pic of those.

Our own DrewZ (aka Imelda) has pictures of his 12 sets of wheels and if you don't believe me check post 35-38 of this thread. (DrewZ is my hero).

This is a sacrifice we can make for the cause. Cast our digital cameras in the direction of our cars we can hardly stand to look at and snap a pic. Who is in?
