I dont think you want those wheels. I would not buy any reproduction wheels, only buy oem, the repos dont look as nice they are heavier and are usually way out of balance requiring even more weight to be put on them to balance. in short I would get some of those but off an actual M5 anything else will not do your bmw justice. love the disign though almost got some for mine before I found these bbs

I have replica rims, and they balanced out quite easily. And they aren't orders of a magnitude heavier than the real thing either. The biggest issues with replica wheels will probably be finish quality (and durability) and strength (especially in areas with horrid road conditions.)
You're not doing your car any kind of injustice by not forking over $2,000+tires for new wheels as long as you realize what you're getting and what you paid for it.

So darn cheap! Tires will cost 2x more.

540 is heavy and you may bend them if your roads are bad... I have bent a set of oem.... once they get weak, they go fast!
but for the price, it could be worth it , replace when needed!
they will look hot on the car!
edit: we have extremely bad roads, with holes your children could hide in!

I have replicas on 2 cars and used to have them on the e30 too, haven't bent one yet. I did bend 3 oem 16" wheels on my e36 though.
My replicas all balanced out perfectly fine. I couldn't justify paying more than double for oem wheels.

I have those on my 535 - 17's though, and not staggered.
I think they're just fine. Pretty easy to clean, and the black-platinum finish or whatever doesn't look *too* dirty b/c it matches the brake dust!
Oh yeah - and I've run over curbs too... no bending yet!

I think they would look great , But i agree I would try to stay with the 17teens

go for it
i have the same style, but in the wrong color (silver instead of shadow chrome) and 18x8 all round... basically you can tell from 3 miles away that they're not the real deal
these ones look much closer to the proper style 65 rim...
i don't think quality is a huge issue, i slammed into a speed bump at the end of a veeery long carpark driveway at 2am doing about 85km/h (silly), bent one rim but only slightly... not bad considering i thought the whole front end of the car had been ripped off. I would expect OEM rims to suffer the same if given the same punishment!

actually 9.5" in the rear might give you some problems... it'll either be a tight fit or need some mods to the lips from what i recall
plus my insurance company won't cover me at all if my wheels are over 8" wide.. something to do with a percentage over the original rim width, bah!

The M5 replicas tend to be available anywhere and everywhere lately.......I think they have been poured in more countries than Starbucks coffee......still, I personally think the style is too modern for the E34, and although I offer replicas, I also know not all replicas are of equal quality. I would prefer this wheel http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-18-Wheels-Rims-BBS-Style-E34-E39-E38-Staggered_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43958QQitemZ8 000027426 due to the larger lip/rear-wheel-drive appearance and they are from the same supplier. I do offer some options myself including a 17x8 Hamann copy sold manufactured by Privat. The wheel is called the Kraftwerk http://www.privatwheels.com/html/kraftwerk.html The price is $735 delivered in the lower 48 states. They are 17x8" +15 offset and will hold either a BMW or Hamann center cap. I only have 4 sets left so please let me know if interested. Lastly, I have M-Parallel replicas in machined finish 18x8" +13 and 18x9.5" +24 offset, they are $705 delivered and I have 2 sets left (also have 1 set all silver for $90.00 less)

The reason i was thinking about the shadow chrome is my car is all black and in the process of being blacked out completely....no chrome of any kind. I thought the shodow or black chrome would look cool. After talking myself into a black car which I still cant believe......I said screw it make everything black

I have a set of BMW M5 OEM for sale. 18" Staggered 8.5/9.5 - They are the gunmetal color. I will let them go for $600. They can be refinished to Silver or Platinum Silver if you like
I bought the Racing Dynamics RD2's from PML Motorsports here and got an amazing[U] deal. So these are now up for sale. I wouldve kept them for my car but like I said - Peter made an offer I couldnt refuse !

very uneducated answer. Replica rims are not that bad. Most of them are made in Italy and Germany.
