Frankfurt concepts: Mini Clubman vs Z4 Coupe

How did the same company produce a vehicle that I would plunk money down on, the Clubman, and then produce one of the most (????) designs ever, the Z4 coupe. The perpetuated Bangle design themes just continue to turn me off. Thanks for letting me vent. I love to goto the local BMW dealer and park my 535i next to new E60. Makes me smile and want to keep it longer and longer.
