Brakes,rotors Help

I am in the middle of replacing brakes and rotors, I was planning on repacking the bearings. When i turn the assembly it doesnt spin freely. Should i repack the bearings? Also i lost my book and was wondering if anyone had a link which shows the actual sequence.

Assuming you're working on a BMW E34, there are no bearings to repack. Both the fronts and the rears are complete units that should be replaced as such.

Check the front bearings by raising the front of the car with everything together. Grab the coil spring and rotate the tire; a bad bearing can be felt in the spring. An abrupt halt is normal. Rears require the shake test or will howl. Check bmwe34.net or search the archives for replacement procedures; I wouldn't do the rears without the special tools.
