ESD Regelt

Can any tell me what the above error means. I get this along with the brake Light circuit error. Could mean regulator, but which one.

"ESD regelt" is a message that should not appear at all. there was never an ESD (= elektronisches Sperrdifferenzial = electronic limited slip differential) in the E34, same thing with the E32. that's the reason why this message isn't translated by the Check Control.

try to resoldier the R60 resistor in your Check Control module or replace it.

btw.: regelt = currently active

Yes, re-soldering the resistors may well solve it .. but those resistors also change their value with age, so this link may prove to be well worth reading.
