94 530 connector plug identification

Hi,
I have been visiting your forum for awhile and learning many troubleshooting tips. I am currently doing an overhaul on the intake system to hopefully eliminate vacuum leak and rough idle concerns.

Should I remove the left and right wiring ducts as a whole unit? If so, I noticed one connector on the driver side in front of engine block is not connected to anything at this time and was wondering if it should be connected. Another connector on the passenger side goes in front of the engine block and seems to go under the engine. Any help with the wiring duct removal process would be greatly appreciated.

I believe I just pulled the drivers side and tossed it over to the passanger side, as a whole unit minus a couple stray wires. Thats an interesting project isnt it?

There are a lot of not connected plugs you will find in the car. The wire looms were basically standard and then it was connected what was ordered as option. For example electric seats etc.
Don't try to repair anything when it works.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping the "extra connector" explanation was the reason. The apparent vacuum leak and rough idle didn't since to be related to the dangling plug.

I will deal with the wiring ducts the best I can. Do you know if the intake manifold gaskets need any sealant? They don't appear to need any. Thanks.
