Hi,
I'm an e30 guy tired of fixing things every week and need
something slighltly fresher than my 1986 325e 4-door which I've
been fixing up (shocks, sports seats, strut bar, chip, etc).
Frankly I am more of a 3-series guy, but my dad had an e28
and I hear that e34 are solid cars (designed pre-CAD). Also,
I really don't like automatics either, but this car which popped
up recently is available and looks like it has been well cared for:

Any comments on the price, value, or what I should be asking
about if I take the trip to Santa Cruz? The owner just spent a
month and some $$$$ smogging it but his original buyer went
away so he emailed me to say it'sback on the market as I had
giving him some smog tips.

(BTW a lot of people like dropping the M50 in this car into the E30--
worst case I could sell everythingin the engine bay for 2,000)
I have 2 small kids, and we did buy a new Honda Minivan recently,
so we really don't NEED a wagon in the 2nd car, but the slight
bump in space might afford us some room and we can save on the
miles in the van. That being said, no matter how well maintained
this car is, it might be on the verge of some big repairs (mine was
at 200k) and thus NOT advisable to buy and rack up the miles on...
Any advice/comments appreciated. My "home" board is www.baye30.net
but nice to visit here too--some good stuff here.
