View Full Version : ::.. How to Get Gloss on Paint Job
Just obtained a... erm... new part for my bimmer. I prepped it with detergent and sprayed several light coats of Krylon Fusion White. I'll do another few coats tomorrow.
The question... how to get the gloss coat on top? More appropriately, what brand/type would you recommend to use for the gloss finish?
WHIT: I ain't showin' you my park bench until it's painted ;)

use whatever paint type that will set good with your base coat of color. Paint the clear, if you do it correct you shouldnt need to sand or buff it out.
Must let it sit till cure, days even years...lol
what the hell are you doing Jason?
So... what clear gloss coat to use? Krylon Crystal? The Fusion won't leave a good gloss.
I got meselves one of these babies!

[so the fusion is a paint? enamel or laquor or acrilic? Then we roll with the appropriate stuff. You painting a huge area or a small one?

Kickass! Try to find out if its acrylic based which it probably is, then get matching clear, if you spray it right you shouldnt have to do much more than hand polish the luster.
do a little research here.
Yeah, a plastic wing :)
