1994 750iL, one out of abt. 165 produced. Chassis is irrepairable, as C-pillar and both right side doors were hit, and the left rear door and a small touch to the hood tip only. Not even one headlight is broken at the front.
Only abt. 100 k km, fantastic interior and nice wood trim of the last production year.
I am thinking about more efficient storage methods now like below pic, hehe

Maybe I can beat Rigmaster in numbers. But he has the advantages of the farm and the cows are eating away the rubber parts, hehe :p

shipping was going to cost me only 130 us per cubic metre or part thereof from germany to new zealand.........even with buying wheels in germany still much cheaper than buying wheels here,not many genuine optional bmw wheels are sold here.New 17" style tens were quoted at 750 nz plus gst each.....

So it might be intersting to ship to AUS and NZ maybe later, when we disassembled all. I assume one container might be the best for all the stuff, but for that I need a distributor or someone who buys all as a lot and sells it there.
Let's see, we are not that far, still takes some month, as this is a hobby and only done on weekends.

looks fine at the first glance, the car. As usual for Japan low km with less than 90K Km, and it is a 1992.

BUT !!!!
I do not believe it is a 1992!
The ashtray is not a facelift astray, the console is not facelift ashtray, it should have wood. And the ashtray comes out a different way.
Unfortunately they do not show the engine. A 1992 produced car = already has the facelift engine (easiest to see it: oil filler cap is at the front next to the radiator, old one is on valve cover).
The VIN # 55544 is not enough to check, as for 7 numbers.
It says:
Chassis: WBAGC8311K
S/N: 55544
So even if I try 1K55544 nothing comes out.

My grey one is from 11/1988 and the number is 3055570

Ask them for info. Maybe something wrong, maybe not.
Look under 7 board, there was a 750 sold in the Pihillippines as 1994 model from Japan.
I found out that it was actually a 1988 built one.

The s/n they indicate could also be their internal serial number. But have you looked under RHD?

o.k., just got feedback:
1992 built year should be correct. Facelift ashtrays were from April 1992 production month on till 1994.

Till end of March 1992 they have the old design ashtray and less wood in that area. So then the 2 750 should have been built Jan/Feb/March 1992.

Ask them for the month/year if you are seriously interested. Anyway, a look at the engine tells even an amateur buyer (sometimes not).

shogun just about every pic i have seen of bmw in japan are LHD.I thought japan was a rhd nation?Ever see wrecked rhd with genuine hid?.Even the lhd would have rhd headlights????

There are both available here, LHD and RHD. There is no big deal to change the headlights from one to other side traffic. The European and the British owners manual shows ist. Just 3 screws at the back of the headlight, turn the headlight, fix it, done.

Paul, from what I understand (Shogun, correct me if I am wrong), Japan is RHD country. They do permit LHD cars there much like NZ (I used to live in WGTN), my professor had an American LHD car). In countries such as Philippines, we are LHD only so RHD cars needed LHD conversion to be street legal. Thats why LHD BMWs are well sort after here as they are low cost and can be taken into Subic with very low tarrif. (Used to but not any more)
In Malaysia/Singapore RHD and only RHD cars permitted.

Recently in Malaysia, RHD BMWs are coming in the boat-loads (sorry container loads). There are prestine 2000-2003 used models that fetch a good OTR (on-the-road duty paid) price there due to Import Permit "abuse". These are fully optioned Japan models with all the extras including Japanese labels in some places!. Odometer rigged, off course ...thats the catch!.

There used to be a time (until 1996) that RHDs were allowed on the road: i.e., they were not prevented from being used in the Philippines.

However, after constant lobbying by the car manufacturers based in the Philippines that the importation of RHD (from Japan) was bad business for them, they were able to get an administrative order enacted.

I constantly surf thru the Japanese auction sites for interesting and "rare" LHD vehicles. Since most are sold thru auction, overseas LHD buyers usually send these cars either to Canada, the Middle East, or Africa. RHDs are usually sent to AUS, NZ, and EU.
