What is the big deal about the vanos system? i know it changes your intake valve timing but does it give a noticeable change in power.

and you feel when it's on cam/advanced timing... not a rocket, but obvious improvement from about 3-5.5K... on mine after about 6K she's out of steam. '93 M50TU.

i think it contributes to overall economy more than increase in power (my guess)
