Does anyone know how or if you can tighten a rear view mirror that will not hold it's position?

Take the mirror off, by twisting it gently, then on the back of the mirror where it mounts onto the windscreen there should be 3 small metal bars that make a triangle shape. One of those is probably loose. There should be 3 screws on the plate that holds the bars in place, just realign the bars and tighten the screws.

That worked for mine, if it is loose at the actual ball joint on the mirror, not sure what to do there.
