The FAQ for these things says:
As seen in "Fast And The Furious"
The pipe bomb when activated cuts of the car engine which leaves it running off momentum that causes the car to shoot out raw un-burnt fuel that is ignited by the spark plugs that are drilled into your tail pipe(s).
OOOOOO-K. It kills the ignition so your FI system can pump raw fuel through the cats and out the exhaust. Sure. Sounds like a dandy idea.

My car does that, but I don't think it's because of an ignition coil in the tail pipe...
it could be the race cats and 80 psi fuel pressure.
