Hi!
I wonder if someone can help me with the radiator.
Mine BMW is a 1994 520i (I guess this type was not supplied to USA) with M50 engine. Here is the links to pictures with the pictures of the radiator which came out of the car:
www.geocities.com/t_marat/radiator.jpg
www.geocities.com/t_marat/radiator2.jpg
www.geocities.com/t_marat/radiator_code.jpg
Unfortunately this radiator is broken beyond any repair (frontal collision). I was looking at the radiator on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8007540883&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUS%3A1www.geocities.co m/t_marat/radiator_code.jpg
It is from 1992 BMW E34 525i, and I would tend to think that it should also fit mine car. But it looks a little different from mine; the plastic part is smaller.
Will it fit mine BMW (1994 520i, Euro car)
Thanks.

ETK lists 4 radiators for the 520, and one of the part numbers it lists is the radiator of the US 525i. So yes, it should fit and work.

but mine is an Euro car, not US spec. And if you look at the pictures, they are kinda different. The plastic 'bottle' on the side of the radiator being sold on Ebay is small, not big as on mine?

Well, I know it's a Euro car since US never got the 520i. What I am saying is: a part number for a 94 Euro spec 520i rad. and the one for a 92 US spec 525i are the same.

Yes, you are right the part numbers are the same. However, if you look into the pictures I posted, and also at the drawings that realoem.com shows, you will see that they are different from the radiator picture that is on Ebay website. They are simply different, the plastic part does not run to the bottom of the radiator, instead it goes roughly half way.
Sorry to be asking the same question over and over, but they are different, at least radiators shown on pictures are different. And there is also another one being sold:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=8007047835&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
Just look at the picture on the site, and look at the picture I took and drawings at realoem. Realoem drawings and the ones that came off my car are similar. The one being sold on Ebay is different! Again, the plastic 'bottle' to the right of the radiator does not go to the bottom of the radiator.
I hope my English was clear.

Get a brand new one. I'll bet that eBay one gets up to $120-$130. I got a brand new Nissens off eBay for less than $180. The one thing you want to make sure with these cars is to take car of the cooling system.

But again, please look at the picture of the radiator on that auction and the pictures below of the radiator which came off my car:

they are obviously different. They are different, the plastic bottle length is different.

Mine is manual.
Go to www.realoem.com put in the last 7 digits of your Vin and give us the part numbers for the radiator it suggests (Probably about 4). Or just post the last 7 digits of your VIN. We can give some better advice.

It could be possible that you had the wrong radiator in the car from the PO? That's why I wanted to see what realoem says about the part number. I can't pull up anything on the part number in the picture.

Here is link to realoem page with radiator drawing:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HB51&mospid=47370&btnr=17_0099&hg=17&fg=05
My car is from sometime in 1994; the radiator does not change be it in the beginning or ending of the year, its the same, as above.
The radiator shown in the drawing is exactly the same as the one which came of f my car. The expansion tank runs the full height of the radiator. The one on ebay does not.
This is written on the under the hood on the right side:
Oxfordgrun metallic
324/6 drunkelgrun
I guess this is not VIN number but anyway, decided to write.

The VIN is on your registration. It's also on your dash (Drivers's side) look back into the car through your windshield. Mine is also inside all my doors.

Go to AutoCoolRadiators.com. Mine is a manual so it is a little cheaper but they have very good prices. I purchased a radiator for my e28 from them a little over a year ago also for a very good price.

Here is my VIN number:
GG45422
So will this radiator fit my car:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-BMW-E34-525-radiator_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33602QQitemZ80 07540883QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
If you look at the drawing that realoem gives and the picture of my old radiator, then you see that they are different. So, it will not fit?
Here is another radiator, which I actually bought:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4583118767&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
It looks very similar to mine, but, its length is 44cm, mine is 52cm (Width is the same). I learned this difference too late.
I am a little confused with this radiators.
One guy from Germany told me that because I have air conditioning I need a radiator which measures 52cm to 44cm. But that is different from my old radiator (52cm to about 33cm) and it also different from realoem drawings!
Which radiator I need???
