Any of those, just don't go over 17" - the ride is harsher, tyres are expensive and it puts a lot of strain on the suspension/steering components.

I'm surprised no one likes #5 thus far. If it was deep lipped... then the verdicts may change I gather...

Why not just buy the actual Hamann HM2s? (#4?) They're not that expensive these days...I located a set for $800 with tires in CA last spring. Spend ~ $1200 and you can even get them in chrome. Ooh la la.

best, whit

$800? Damn, I didn't think they went that cheap. I love the look, but don't care for replicas, I might have to find some of those come spring.

Well you can't get the M-Par's in 17" so that would be tough. Also have you driven an e34 with 18's and good tires? My wife's wagon with 18's and Kumho ASX's rides great, not harsh at all. In fact she likes the ride better than with the 15" michelins that were on it. As for price, 18's aren't that expensive, maybe $20-$25 more than a 17".

Another thing to add, the car that made me fall in love with e34's (the first one i ever rode in, a '94 black 530im) had wheels similar to #1, the 5 double spoke design. I think these were momo wheels though. So i have seen similar ones on an actual e34 :).
