i have the "auto" a/c system in my car,it was making some strange fan related noises today,i am looking for repair links.....

Yours is IHKA if it's automatic.

There are 4 types: IHKR I, IHKR II, IHKR III and IHKA. It means:
Integriert Heizung und Klima Reguliert/Automatik.

They have a trailing F added if it contains a micro filter.

Paul what kind of head unit (Radio) do you have in your BMW?

its a removeable sony,standard from the factory ,also a sony cd stacker all branded bmw
